More on Activist Arrest at Inaugural

This story is finally making its way into the mainstream media. The Courant website has a Mark Pazniokas story about the incident on their front page, and has obtained the arrest report (pdf). Colin McEnroe has been following this very closely, you can see two posts on the subject on his blog here and here. Colin is right--the one who should be acting to shed some light on this very, very ugly and disturbing incident should be the governor herself.

Here's what I'd like to know: Why was Krayeske on CTIC's list? Who else is on that list? How much did the Rell Administration know about that list? Why was bond set so high?

Also, I noticed that the Courant article references statements Ken made on two websites, one of which is a comment on this CLP post, as proof of his "hostility" towards Rell.

I have a feeling we'll see this story on the front page of some state newspapers tomorrow.

Genghis, turns out the other comment that Paz found was from Ken's own web site. He's even got a post there that he wrote just before the inaugural, talking about how he scoped out the location for where he could take pictures. He even commented on seeing swarms of security people there, presumably to protect Rell from terrorists. Ironic.

More here at MLN with link to Ken's site.

Gov. Rell needs to personally make a gesture to or toward Krayeske (no matter how nutty she may think he is) that signals she believes his treatment was heavy-handed and wrong. Not to do so makes her complicit in what I would describe as a very short step away from police-state tactics.

No wonder Osama and his cohorts found it so easy to take down the World Trade Centers.

If all the geniuses at the FBI and the CT state troopers are spending their time investigating True American patriots like Ken and reading blogs instead of investigating real threats you can bet the next attack will be a complete success too.

Ken needs to get a life.

BTW, security at the state capitol is far laxer than our courthouses and when someone IS seriously wounded by a real whack job I suspect the lefties will still be on their stupid "police state" kick

This is old news, if not non-news. The lunatic left is losing it, again.

Its not old news or non-news. It is in fact a gross overstepping of boundaries, and barely 3 days old at that. Perhaps, anonymous, it just bothers you that your once-beloved M. Jodi Rell in fact has apparently put out hits on political activists throughout the state?

the 40yearplan site is also pretty critical of Mayor Perez. Interesting post from 12/13.

Jodi Rell has put "hits on political activists?" ROFL - break out the tin foil hats, I see the black helicopters on the horizon!

Uh lunatics.....your really losing it now. As for the comment above about the state police having no credibility and bashing them. You are really out of line.....Your going to condemn a fine group of individuals for the action of a few? Gte out of here you moron...

This is truly disgusting.
It is the role of public saftey to protect our (sorry commi's "the") Governor from ANY and ALL threats to his/her saftey. There is a signifigant difference between ya'll sitting at your desks, bad-mouthing the governor (on state time), and charging a gubenatorial parade.

I for one, enjoy listening to the radical liberal tirades on this blog. However, when you allow your radicalism to affect your "real world" behavior, you should bear in mind the reality of those consequences.

In response to other commentors, I hardly define devoted blogging and attempted (or threatened) assault as patiotism.

Enjoy the brown acid.
